About Vedic horoscopes

Vedic astrology (Jyotish) is one of the world's oldest continuous astronomical and predictive traditions, originating in ancient India thousands of years ago. Unlike Western astrology which uses the tropical zodiac, Jyotish uses the sidereal zodiac, aligned with the actual positions of the constellations in the sky.

In Vedic astrology, your primary sign is determined by your Moon sign (Rashi), not your Sun sign. The Moon represents your mind, emotions, and inner nature, a more intimate indicator than the Sun, which changes signs every month.

For the deepest personalised guidance, your complete Kundali (birth chart) accounts for all nine planets, twelve houses, and the precise Dasha period you are currently in, cast from your exact birth date, time and place in the Jaimini app.
