This Privacy Policy describes how Jaimini (“we”, “our”, or “us”), operated from Bangalore, India, collects, uses, and protects information when you use the Jaimini mobile application and website (collectively, the “Service”).

By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

Account Information

Name (optional) and phone number (verified via OTP) when you create an account.

Birth Data

Date of birth, time of birth, and place of birth — used solely to generate your Vedic Kundali and astrological calculations. You may also add birth data for family members at your discretion.

Usage Data

App usage patterns, features accessed, session duration, and interaction events — used to improve the Service.

Device Data

Device type, operating system version, and anonymous device identifiers.

Payment Data

Transaction amounts, dates, and payment method type. We do not store card numbers or full payment details — all payment processing is handled by Cashfree Payment Gateway.

Consultation Data

Chat messages during astrologer consultations, stored securely for 90 days after the session ends, then permanently deleted.

We use your information to:

• Generate your personalised Vedic Kundali and astrological calculations
• Facilitate live consultations with astrologers
• Send push notifications (with your permission, which you may withdraw at any time)
• Improve the app, fix bugs, and personalise your experience
• Process payments via Cashfree Payment Gateway
• Comply with applicable legal requirements

We do not sell your personal data. We do not share your birth data or consultation history with advertisers or data brokers.

We share data only with:

• Cashfree — for payment processing. Subject to Cashfree's privacy policy.
• Firebase (Google) — for analytics and push notifications. Data is aggregated and anonymised.
• Cloud infrastructure providers — for hosting and data storage. All bound by data processing agreements.

We may disclose your information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users.

Your data is stored on secure servers located in India. We implement industry-standard security measures including:

• HTTPS/TLS encryption for all data in transit
• Encryption at rest for sensitive data (birth details, consultation records)
• Birth data stored separately from communication data
• Access controls limiting employee access to personal data

You have the right to:

• Access — Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Correct — Update inaccurate personal data through the app settings
• Delete — Delete your account and all associated data. This option is available in the app under Settings → Account → Delete Account
• Withdraw consent — Opt out of marketing communications at any time

The Jaimini app is intended for users 18 years of age and older. We do not knowingly collect personal data from individuals under 18. If we discover that we have inadvertently collected data from a minor, we will delete it promptly.

Our website uses cookies solely for analytics (Google Analytics 4). These are analytics cookies that collect aggregated, non-personal usage data. You may opt out via your browser settings or Google Analytics opt-out tools.

The Jaimini mobile app does not use browser cookies.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via push notification in the app and/or email. Continued use of the Service after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
